Dr. Oz Says Medicaid Will Be There for Americans … as Long as They Lay Off the Cake

After the reduction of Medicaid by President Donald Trump and the so -called «Great Beautiful Invoice» of the Republican Party, Mehmet Oz, a cardiac surgeon turned into a television doctor turned into administrator of the centers of the services of Medicare and Medicaid, says that Americans can still receive help, but that they need to stay healthy and avoid things like the cake.

The new legislation could kick up to 15 million people outside Medicaid, the Health Insurance Program for low -income and disabled Americans. The bill implements new work requirements that require people to work, go to school or volunteer 80 hours a month. However, they cannot earn too much money, so that they do not exceed the income limit and are expelled from the program.

«We don’t even call it a work requirement, it is the commitment of the community,» Oz told Stuary Varney by Fox Business on Monday. Oz said people are spending «6.1» hours a day watching television.

In January, President Donald Trump promised to «love and appreciate» Medicaid. Vice President JD Vance recently dismissed the possibility of millions from losing coverage as «Minutiae».

According to reports, OZ was a «lasting presence» in the effort to approve the bill.

«It was a promise for the American people to take care of it if they have financial problems or if it has a problem because it was greater and needed medical attention,» Oz said. «The country changed in good sense, for many reasons, but we are all together, Stuart, which means we will be there for you, the American people, when they need help with Medicaid and Medicare.»

Then, he added a warning: «But you also have to stay healthy. Be vital. Do the best you can do to really live … your potential given by God to live a complete and healthy life. Do not eat carrot cake.»

He gestured to a carrot cake sitting on the table to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Foundation of Medicaid.

«That’s what you have given me,» said Varney, laughing.

«This is a bit of a wink, I joked the medium cake, but, of course, I could not find a healthy cake, so I bought the nearest carrot cake.»

Maha, or Make America Healthy Again, is the health project of the Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., which includes avoiding things such as seed oils and food dyes and questioning vaccines. In May, he published his first report, which cited false studies and seemed to have been written using ia.

Oz also told Fox Business that he wants to make medical care «productive.» «If we make medical care work in the way banks work, the way you can ask for food, the way you can see transmission videos, transform it as an industry of the 21st century, it will be productive again. The loss of productivity is what the medicine hurts,» he said.

Last month, Oz told Fox Business that Medicaid beneficiaries have to «do something to prove that he has an agency about his future.»

«Salt, do entry level work, enter the workforce, show that you matter. Get the agency in your own life,» he said. «It is a much more pleasant experience if you go through life thinking that you have control of your destiny and you will get a better insurance at the same time.»

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) He observed the absurd of Oz’s statement in an X position later on Monday. «17 million people will lose their health insurance due to the Trump administration,» he wrote. «Dr. Oz’s advice is’ no carrot pastel».
