Brandi Glanville shares her emotional reaction to learning that a friend created a GoFundMe campaign to cover The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ongoing medical expenses of the student.
«I’m on all this crazy medication, (and) even with my insurance, it’s $7,000 a week. Then I have creditors calling me all day,» Brandi, 53, revealed on the Friday, September 11, episode of her show «Unfiltered.» podcastsharing an update on his mysterious health status. «(My friend), ginastarted a GoFundMe for me. Honestly, I’m embarrassed because I don’t like asking for help.”
Brandi has dealt with an unknown medical condition for over two years that has since caused her facial disfigurement. She has spent more than $113,000 on various treatments in an effort to treat the condition and with mixed results. While doctors initially believed the reality TV star had a parasite, Brandi recently shared via Instagram who had “ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with highly resistant biofilm, coccidioidomycosis (valley fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.”
While Brandi was reluctant to accept Gina’s help, her friend told her she “had no choice” if she wanted to cover the high medical bills.

“If I stop paying, I won’t get my medication and then I won’t make any progress,” Brandi explained through tears on Friday. «Right now, I paid half and I still owe them. I’m just exhausted. I don’t want anyone to see it, but I don’t know what to do.»
Co-host of Brandi’s podcast, James MaasHe stressed that fundraising should not be considered embarrassing in the least.
«What’s shameful is the whole medical system and the fact that when you had health insurance, you were allowed to pay all this money to your referring doctors, which sometimes made you feel like committing suicide or self-mutilation because there was no other option,» said James, 33. «You need a GoFundMe. You’re the last person who wants to ask for help. When you don’t even have money… you invite me to a fancy dinner or something.»

Brandi further noted that it’s hard that she supposedly «can’t work» due to her health battle.
“I feel like a loser,” she added through tears. «I feel like I’ve definitely hit rock bottom and I’m embarrassed. I never thought I’d do this… Gina did it for me. I know she’s looking out for me.»
