Wayne Brady is revealing some surprising internal secrets about the first days of Let’s make a deal!

The comedian and host recently spoke with people exclusively in the Paramount lot while attending CBS Fest 2025 in Los Angeles. During the conversation, Brady revealed that the contestants sometimes appeared drunk or high while attending recordings of the popular CBS game program.

«In the first days of the show, for some reason, we had much of that,» Who is the line anyway? Alumin, 52, remember. «But not much recently.»

«I would like to think that our audience appears ready to reproduce because they know the type of program in which they get involved. They know it is like an improvisation program. They know that women can ask them to lift and sing. They know that I am interacting with them. So I think people are lucid because they do not want to seem silly,» he adds.

Brady also shares his «biggest tips for contestants», pointing out that the number one that a person should contribute to a recording is «energy.» He also says that it is crucial that the contestants «listen to me.»

«What I want to say with that is (listen to me) when I explain the rules to a game: (as in) what will happen. It’s a lot. There are lights. You are in front of an audience. There are many people who have never been in the camera (before) … I say: ‘Listen’.»

«And at the end of the day, your instinct follows. When everyone turns around to ask the audience, ‘What should I do?’ Great.

The five -time Emmy winner has been the host of the program since its 2009 Renaissance, celebrating its 15th year in the air in 2024.

As for the next summer plans of the star?

«My birthday on June 2, so I just want to enjoy my summer. I want it to be a summer where I feel completely positive and ready to assume this year,» he tells People.

Brady also says that while he would love to visit the family in Hawaii or maybe traveling to Thailand, he is not sure if you can give a vacation that he is starring Broadway’s Moulin Rouge For a limited summer race.

«I have approximately a week and a half, so I don’t know if I can fit all that,» he admits.
